In the fast moving world of diversity , the desire to fit in often arises. the pressure to conform becomes intense, hoping for acceptances. However , I question why I am overly concerned about others opinions. could it be that i am my own harshest critic? Perhaps it's time to shift my focus inwards and accept myself for who truly am. it's perfectly acceptable to be different.; in fact our uniqueness sets us a parts. instead of seeking validation from others , I should strive for self-acceptance and self-love. I'm certain I'm not the only one who fears judgment and feels the need to conceal themselves. I aim to make others feel that it’s okay to be one of a kind. We should strive to be kinder to ourselves and embrace our uniqueness instead of conforming to societal norms or seeking validation from others. but what can I do to encourage others who share similar concerts about fear? diversity is greatest when all species present are equally abundant in the area. There are a lot of organizations that are slowly growing with acceptance. Some of the companies like Al-lianz, UST, El, etc, have brought phenomenal policy shifts for better representation. I had an excellent time working with my previous organization, and currently, with Allianz. They provide the best environment for your career to grow. The management and leaders have been my role models. Major movements have happened in many organizations since 2018, and the change is quite impressive. Apart from that, their stories have also been published to blur the lines between them and us! However, I have heard cases of harassment, bully-ing, and abuse from IT spaces as well which is quite paradoxical and saddening at the same time. Many of them have even taken the wrong advantages of night shifts by creating an insecure space. If you look at a broader picture, despite Trivandrum being a big city, the living conditions of the trans community are still far from better, forcing many of them to become the victims of sex trafficking and forced prostitution. There are scattered cases here and there to look at. However, things are certainly changing and it is surely a positive thing to say. Read more
